Anxiety and overthinking therapist
Therapy for Anxiety, Chronic Overthinking, and Emotional Exhaustion
Anxiety does not always look dramatic from the outside. Sometimes it looks like constant scanning, second-guessing, mentally rehearsing, replaying conversations, or trying to think your way into certainty that never fully arrives.
When your mind rarely lets you rest
Over time, that can become exhausting. Even when you seem capable, your inner world may feel crowded, relentless, and hard to trust.
The cost of living in constant mental rehearsal
Chronic overthinking can affect:
- sleep
- decision-making
- self-trust
- relationships
- concentration
- the ability to feel present
It can also quietly deepen shame. Many people begin to assume they should be able to manage it better than they do.
How I approach this work
In therapy, we can look at what anxiety is trying to do for you, how it has been reinforced over time, what emotional experiences sit underneath it, and what begins to change when you are no longer relying only on mental control.
This work may include narrative exploration, practical coping tools, emotional regulation support, and gentle attention to the stories you tell yourself when you feel uncertain, responsible, or afraid of getting it wrong.
